Ryme is a collaboration of husband and wife with old world sensibilities as well as admiration for California’s terroir and sunny disposition. Ryan and Megan Glaab’s portfolio of wines has grown gradually and organically since 2007, beginning with a single ton of Aglianico. The varieties may be rare or unusual but none of them are a mere curiosity for us. Rather, they represent wines that we love, drink often, and truly believe in the potential for success in their chosen sites.

Samantha Sheehan founded POE in 2009 after being inspired by the wines she tasted in Burgundy and Champagne.  The goal is not to replicate Burgundy, but rather create alluring, vineyard specific, age-worthy wines revealing the beautiful terroir of California.  There is minimal intervention, judicious use of sulfur, and never any additives. POE produces traditional Champagne method sparkling wines, rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and a nouveau from Pinot Noir.

Martha Stoumen Wines was founded upon the desire to recapture a farming and winemaking culture that has all but faded away: a winemaking culture of patience. For my wines I lease and farm around half of the vineyards myself. The other half are farmed by multi-generation farmers who understand their land, and their family's land, far better than I ever will, and who farm with my same philosophies in mind. In the cellar I use a minimalist winemaking approach. Above all, I strive to make wines that are delicious, joyful, and truly representative of California.

Raft wines started in 2016 from a feeling of joy—joy of the land, of the food and wine we can produce, and of the joy we have when we share around the table. The winemaking bug bit in the spring of 2011, and over the next few years, I completed six additional harvests around the world. Harvest number eight brought new meaning, as I get to craft a wine of my own, to share with my friends, family, and community. Since 1901, my family has been in the food industry of California, most specifically raising ducks at Liberty Duck for restaurants in the Bay Area. In the most literal sense of the word, a raft is a dense flock of swimming birds, just like a duck.

Donkey & Goat Winery is owned and operated by Jared & Tracey Brandt in Berkeley, California. Our wines are made from sustainably (or more) farmed vineyards in the Sierra Nevada, Mendocino and Napa. In the cellar nothing is removed and nothing is added save minimal effective sulphur—we use as little as possible, and our levels going into bottle fall within the predominant guideline for natural wines in Europe. Our wines are bottled without stabilization, fining or filtration. We have made our wines in this manner since we created Donkey & Goat in 2004 and will continue to do so until we stop.

INCONNU is a one-woman project with great dedication to making low intervention wines from ethically farmed grapes. These wines are meant to be enjoyed every day — not just on special occasions. We are inspired by the French tradition of vin de soif, or "wine of thirst." Our wines are pleasurable and light, but still express great care and devotion to craft.

Margins Wine is a small winemaking project of Megan Bell, a winemaker living and working in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We produce low-intervention wines using grapes from underrepresented regions, vineyards, and varietals. We are part of the growing movement in California to make wines from organically farmed vineyards using little to no additives during the winemaking process, thereby showcasing the vineyards the grapes came from. Margins draws attention to vineyards and varietals throughout northern and central California that find themselves on the margins without the recognition they deserve.

Kristie Tacey, winemaker and founder of Tessier Winery, is a scientist turned winemaker. A former published research scientist who studied protein pathways, Kristie eventually came to realize that winemaking was her true calling and started Tessier in 2009. Tessier is the result of Kristie’s passion for the art and science of winemaking. She began handcrafting small lots of Pinot Noir and has added Grenache, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Gamay Noir and Mourvedre. Sustainability is a priority — not only with the vineyards’ farming practices, but also by having long-term relationships with her growers and customers.

Onward Wines are single-vineyard, site-driven, expressions of the vineyard sites that are very special to winemaker Faith Armstrong Foster. She is a true believer in personal connection and there is a story behind each vineyard site and how it came to be part of her portfolio. In these stories you will learn more about the people behind these vineyards. When it comes to vineyards, it is a combination of her connection with the vines themselves and her connection with those that tend them. For Faith, the growers hands are most definitely part of the terroir.

Bodega Catena Zapata is known as the pioneer of fine wine from Argentina. First launched in 1992, it set a new standard for quality in South America. The wines immediately proved the quality potential of Argentina and garnered the first outstanding reviews for Argentine wines from worldwide media. After more than 20 years, the wines of Catena continue to lead the way in Argentine viticulture and winemaking. The family and the winery’s employees take great pride in carrying on the tradition that began over a century ago. It is still owned today by Nicolás Catena, and his daughter Dr. Laura Catena runs the family business.

Jill always felt that the intersection of nature and culture was the most important thing. She studied botany at Penn, researched ancient farming techniques in Israel, and studied traditional methods for soil health in grad school at UC Davis. She pioneered “farmer to farmer” networking for sustainability in the early 90s while working for a family farming non-profit, and ran programs training farmers on direct sales, such as CSAs and farmers markets, before local food had the momentum that it has now. As the family grew, that passion translated into more local action. Today, she runs the business side of the family farming and wine business.

Snowden Vineyards in Napa Valley is a four-generation family affair with sons, daughters, wives, and cousins all in the mix. In January of 2005, Diana Snowden, Scott’s daughter, along with consulting winemaker, Dave Ramey, assumed winemaking duties. Beginning with the 2012 vintage, Diana handles all the winemaking duties herself. She is the winemaker at Snowden Vineyards and the enologist at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy, where she resides with her husband Jeremy Seysses and their two children, Aubert and Blaise.

Ashes & Diamonds, ‘a love letter to the Napa Valley of the 1960s,’ has set out to revive this storied era’s pioneering energy. Owner Kashy Khaledi has built a winery driven by collaboration, seeking the participation of Napa’s great contemporary voices in viticulture and enology. This Oak Knoll winery is surrounded by an estate vineyard initially purchased by Darioush, the winery owned by Khaledi’s father. Kashy was compelled to investigate the nuances of the vineyard’s original plantings, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from 1986, and has meticulously done so through organic farming and restrained winemaking—with Steve Matthiasson and Diana Snowden-Seysses at the helm.

Winemakers Johanna Jensen (formerly with Scholium Project and Broc Cellars) and Jack Roberts (Matthiasson Wines Assistant Winemaker) have come together to create wines influenced by the old world with less ripe fruit, minimal manipulation and great ageability. In the vigneron tradition, they do much of the work themselves from vineyard to bottling.

L.A. Lepiane Wines was established in 2013 with the simple goal of crafting vibrant, exciting, balanced wines made by Alison Thomson’s own two hands. The name of the project is a nod to her great grandfather, Luigi A. Lepiane, who came from Piane Crati in Calabria, Italy. He settled in Hollister, California, where he established a grocery store and his own winery, L.A. Lepiane. Three generations later, that deep Calabrian love of food and family guided Alison through her education and career. Now at home in Santa Barbara, California, she has embraced the region’s unique ability to grow Barbera and Nebbiolo, alongside more well known grapes like Grenache.

Corison Winery is a small family farm producing delicious Cabernet Sauvignons that speak of place. Over three decades, Cathy Corison and William Martin have built a special home to celebrate the best of our little corner of the world, benchland in the heart of the Napa Valley. Known for power and elegance, Corison wines are balanced to grace the table and are recognized throughout the world for their longevity and consistency.

Turnbull Wine Cellars is a small, family-owned and operated estate-grown winery located in Oakville, the heart of the Napa Valley. Under the leadership of second-generation vintner Zoe Johns, Turnbull focuses on making elegant, structured wines crafted from their four estate vineyards to deliver signature wines of time and place – a result in their careful hand in all aspects of the winemaking process, from dirt to bottle.
