As women in wine, we’ve all had to face gender issues, but not necessarily in the same way or to the same degree. Take family-run organizations (which many wineries are): when you add the family layer, it gets even more emotional, more charged with other factors. This session features women winemakers and winery principals – both new and experienced – discussing the generational challenges and opportunities they have faced.

This panel will showcase voices from across the industry addressing race, feminism, intersectionality, and more. In their own words, these women of color will share their triumphs, failures, and everything in between in a way that will educate, inform, inspire, and entertain.

Vineyard workers form the backbone of the wine industry yet don’t receive the attention they need and deserve. Join Elaine Chukan Brown, Leda Isabel Garside, and Rory Williams as they dig into the state of the industry for vineyard workers while also giving tangible ways for the rest of us to best support them.
